How To Setup a Schedule for Your Main Phone System Greeting
At HELIA, we recommend that calls are answered by a live person. That means that during office hours they may go to reception and after hours they go to your standard Auto Attendant. To do this, you'll need to set up a schedule with your office hours so the phone system knows when to route to the receptionist or the auto attendant.
On this page we'll show you how to set up a schedule for your FairFire phone system.
Steps To Set Up Your Phone System Greeting Schedule
- Determine your Schedule
- Create a new menu root in the admin panel and name it "Office Hours Schedule"
- Create a new timeout menu action and set the destination for your after hours destination. This will most often be the main auto attendant greeting
- Create a new timeout menu action and select the "Schedule" checkbox. Set the schedule by clicking on the hour boxes to turn your office hours blocks black and select the office hours destination. Most often this will be the reception extension or ring all call group.
- Phone in both after hours and during office hours to confirm the schedule routes the way you expect.
